Today we announce the last of our main characters for Matilda!. Many other ensemble and smaller character roles have also been cast and primary students will also be invited soon to participate in the whole school production.
Edith C (Year 10) is Amanda. Edith says 鈥淎manda is known as the girl with pigtails who gets thrown over the fence by Trunchbull. She is a bit shy and doesn鈥檛 know what to do鈥�. Edith is usually behind the scenes at REC shows but wants to do more on stage roles. She played a judge in The Mole at 2024鈥檚 REC鈥檚 Got Talent.
Ollie C (Year 8) is Bruce, the boy well known for eating an entire chocolate cake as punishment from Trunchbull. Ollie says, 鈥淏ruce kind of has the same personality as me 鈥� hungry and funny. I鈥檓 most looking forward to eating chocolate cake鈥�.
Lincoln F (Year 9) is Eric. Lincoln describes Eric as 鈥渁 student who is scared, nervous and gets picked on a lot by Trunchbull鈥�. Previously seen as Augustus Gloop in The Chocolate Factory, Lincoln considered auditioning for Bruce, but didn鈥檛 want to get typecast as 鈥渢he kid who eats chocolate鈥�.
