Our 2025 whole school production is Matilda!, adapted from the Roald Dahl story and inspired by the 1996 film, Matilda the Musical and 2022 Netflix film. It will be performed on 3 and 4 September. 59 students auditioned for the 14 main roles and over the next few weeks we will introduce you to our stars.
We are thrilled to announce the following roles:
Hailey W (Year 7) is Matilda. 鈥淲hen I found out I got the role I was in shock and screamed with excitement. I look forward to a lot of fun scenes and also to sharing the stage with others.鈥� Hayley was one of the hosts at last year鈥檚 Primary twilight concert.
Lilly M (Year 11) is Miss Honey. 鈥淚鈥檝e always loved the character and I have that friendly teacher vibe about me. When the show was announced the first thing mum said was to go for Miss Honey鈥�.
Riley P (Year 11) is Agatha Trunchbull. 鈥� I love doing the whole school productions (my last one was Return to the Future and it was so much fun). As Miss Trunchbull I鈥檓 most looking forward to yelling and telling the kids off!鈥�
Charlotte H (Year 11) Is the Narrator. 鈥淚鈥檓 excited to create the story and set the scene for the audiences in this powerful role鈥�. Charlotte was last seen as Mrs Gloop in The Chocolate Factory. This will be her third and last production at REC.
