This year the Year 11 Health class is hoping students of 小蓝视频 can come together and support the Share the Dignity campaign. Share the Dignity works towards making a real change for girls and women who experience domestic violence or homelessness. They run a Christmas appeal called 鈥淚t鈥檚 in the Bag鈥� which works towards distributing essential and sanitary items to those in need. The Christmas appeal has been running for many years at 小蓝视频 and we hope and encourage everyone to get involved again this year.
In order to put the bags together we need donations from the community which should include essential items or even luxurious items to give during Christmas time. (All items donated should be new and sealed).
Donations can be dropped until 21 November. Donation boxes can be found in teachers’ offices in each learning community and in the Wayikuu Gym office.
All items must be new and sealed packaging for health reasons but bags can be second hand.
Essential Items plus optional luxury items can include:
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Roll on deodorant
- Soap
- Period products
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
Things NOT to include/donate:
- Food/drinks
- Any medication
- Sharp objects (razors/knives etc.)
- Spray deodorant/shampoo and any other aerosol items
